About Sommer
My name is Sommer, I am a high school junior! I had a tutor at one point in high school, and she taught me it is okay to have a different approach and learn differently. I want to create the same effect on my students, because I believe everyone learns at a different pace and different comprehension skills. I strive to make learning more accessible, enjoyable, and more rewarding. Regardless of how you learn or how quickly, I am here to create a comfortable, confident, and supportive environment!

My approach as an English tutor is to make lessons engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on improving reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, essay writing and comprehension through clear explanations, practice activities, and personalized feedback. A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous material, followed by learning a new skill and practicing it together before ending with independent work or a short review. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions and build confidence. My lessons are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students who want extra help with English or want to strengthen their overall skills!
