About Grace
I'm a high school student with 10 years of experience playing the violin. I've had many different musical experiences, from learning Scottish folk music by ear to Japanese summer school. I've played many styles and seen many ways to teach, making me comfortable with a wide range of repertoire. My wide knowledge base means that I can pull from different techniques from around the world to see what works best for each student, whether they prefer ear-dominant or eye-dominant teaching methods. However, I will not budge on proper technique and knowledge of musical theory (musicianship). Additionally, I've played in several orchestras in my 10 years, and I can happily teach students the art and decorum of playing in an ensemble.

I started violin with the Suzuki method before switching to AMEB.
I use Suzuki teaching methods with the AMEB syllabus to provide students with enjoyable lessons and complete knowledge bases.
I work to create well-rounded students with a robust knowledge of music and techniques by incorporating musicianship (music theory) into my lessons, as well as ensuring that students learn the violin with the correct technique so that they play with good pitch and tone.
Lessons are typically 30 minutes (though intermediate players may prefer one hour) and are aimed at complete beginners to AMEB grade 4.
