About Carla
I have been teaching English online for more than a year. I have taught over 1,600 lessons. Students are encouraged to read, speak, and write in English with guidance and encouragement. Although I have taught in "real-world" classrooms, I really enjoy teaching online.

Each lesson will follow a similar format unless a different approach is needed or requested. I am happy to teach children or adults. We start each class with simple conversation, then spend some time on vocabulary building exercises. After that, I guide the student through reading a text. We will then spend time assessing reading comprehension. If there is any additional time, we extend the lesson with vocabulary boosting activities. No time is wasted. Before finishing the class, we talk about what was learned and where we want to focus our time in the next lesson.
