I personally enjoy having an active classroom where students produce a lot and I help them to discover their relationship with English. I try to focus classes around the class's interests and needs. It is important to me that language becomes intuitive and the only way to do this, in my experience, is to fully immerse students in the environment of that language, but also in an environment that inspires them to talk and write about it. By making English as the only accepted medium in a classroom and discussing topics that relate to the passions of the class, this develops fluency and a more intuitive understanding of the language, which is essential for high level speakers.
I am an English Literature and Theatre Studies graduate, having studied foreign languages in Germany. I am also certified by Cambridge University as an English Language teacher and after qualifying for this, have taught English as a foreign language around the world and in the UK at a variety of levels and to a variety of age groups. Whether you want an academic or practical approach to learning English, I can tailor a course depending on your needs.
EFL teacher – English in Action, Austria (21/02/2016 – 09/09/2016)
I taught week long EFL courses at a variety of schools in Austria. The main focus of this company and the teaching is for the students to apply the language taught during the week in a theatre performance at the end of the week, which the students devise themselves. The whole methodology of the company is to teach language practically and actively.

EFL teacher – Exsportise, Seaford College, West Sussex (02/07/15-20/08/16)
With Exsportise, I taught a range of 11-16 year olds at a summer camp in the south of England. The students came from as far away as Ukraine and as near as Holland. I was teaching between 6 and 7 hours a day. I had to complete a lot of paper work documenting lesson plans, students' progress and weekly targets for the class. This developed my teaching style and classroom management.
Voluntary Work – Kolkata, India (20/02/2015-30/03/2015)
