About Roy
With over 5 years of experience in Computer Programming tutoring and a BSc in Computer Science, I specialise in preparing high school students for IGCSE and A-Level exams. I focus on practical coding demonstrations and interactive exercises to reinforce learning. Students develop strong foundations in algorithms, functions, and object-oriented concepts. I teach Computer Programming with an emphasis on understanding core concepts and practical coding skills. Active visualisation is key, as students see how programs execute and data flows through algorithms. Topics include Functions, Loops, Variables, Object-Oriented Programming, and Algorithm Design. Recursion, basic Web Development, and debugging techniques are also explored. Lessons blend coding demonstrations with clear step-by-step explanations. I support Future Developers and Logical Thinkers, helping them build strong foundational skills. Students practise writing, analysing, and testing code effectively. Problem-solving exercises reinforce logical and computational thinking. Real-life examples make abstract programming ideas easier to grasp. Creativity is encouraged alongside structured reasoning. Each lesson is paced to meet individual student needs. Together, we turn complex concepts into understandable skills. With steady practice, coding fundamentals are mastered with clarity. My goal is to guide students to academic and practical success in programming.
