About Paul
I received my education at Baylor University, a top-tier university in Texas. While there, I majored in both Religion and Slavic and East-European Studies; the diversity and academic rigor of these fields provided me with extensive familiarity with academic writing styles, particularly those using MLA or Chicago-Turabian citation styles.
After graduating, I worked as a substitute teacher for two years and then a full classroom teacher for five years, specializing in English Language Arts and Reading. In my time, I focused on normalizing definitions and understanding the fundamentals that students need in order to talk about their own writing, so that they can learn to improve it.
I also sponsored the Writing Club for my school as well as co-sponsored the Dungeons and Dragons club; writing is in my blood, and I'm excited to help you achieve your writing goals.

All students are able to learn so long as they are given the tools to be successful. This requires a strong set of foundational skills that enable a student to receive intelligible feedback, perform self-diagnosis and make meaningful goal-setting and creation activities.
Lessons typically begin with a form of pre-assessment regarding foundational skills, then are adjusted to match a student's particular needs; this can branch into more detailed fundamental work or into more freeform collaborative teaching.
Most importantly, I want to enable your voice. My years of teaching experience have given me great insight into what a student which to say, what they're actually saying and how to bring the two together. Extended expertise in academic writing also enables me to ensure a high degree of quality in essays, research papers and other style-guide led work.
I am presently looking to assist college students and adults seeking to elevate their academic, expressive and creative writing to the next level.
