- Classes
We provide individualised Maths and English programmes for all levels of ability. Students come to class at a time suitable to them within the class times. There is no need to book. Students spend approximately 30 minutes per subject in class and attend once or twice a week. The Kumon programme does not follow the National Curriculum, but works as additional support as we develop students abilities up to and including A level standard. This additional support is suitable for both students who are not confident in Maths or English (or both) and for those students who need stretching. Many of our students are working above their school level.
- Ages and Levels Covered
We cater for students of all ages from 3 to adult. Students come from a wide range of villages from Quorn across to Kirby Muxloe and also from the North of the city of Leicester. As we have an individualised programme for each student, everybody works at their own level, regardless of age. Students take work home which is marked by a parent, this is returned at the next visit and susequently assessed by the instructor to make sure that they are working at the right level. Classwork is marked immediately and feedback is given. Young students work with a dedicated assistant until they are confidently working on their own. New work is always checked in class so that the student is confident that they are able to tackle the work at home.

My name is Hilary Maddocks and I am the Instructor at the centre. I have been a maths teacher for many years, finally giving it up in summer 2011 in order to concentrate on Kumon. I also am a Maths and Stats tutor at Loughborough University working in the Maths Education Centre, where I support degree level students who are dyslexic and discalculate and have Maths or Stats as part of their degree.

We are a few minutes away from the Beamont Leys roundabout on the A46. At this roundabout, turn towards Anstey. We are at the end of a cul de sac on the left hand side as you enter Anstey (opposite the carpet superstore).
