About Ishan
I am native-level speaker of both Hindi and English. I was born in the US in an Indian household, and grew up speaking English at school like any American kid and my mother tongue at home. When I was ten, my family moved to India, and I came to speak Hindi with native-level polish in the years that I lived there, until I returned for college. Apart from my "day job," I am a writer, with a successful screenplay under my belt, and have a natural flair for languages that I can pass along to you.

The most important job of a teacher is to instill an appreciation for the subject. If that is accomplished, the subject matter seeps in without resistance and with enthusiasm. In keeping with this standpoint, the core part of my methodology is to situate the topic in question within the daily colloquialisms, affairs and eccentricities of the Hindi-speaking world, which I have lived in. Communicating the world of Hindi is my job. That done, the process of absorbing the language of Hindi will by itself become twice as easy for you.
