About Delonie
I'm an islander from Roatan, a small island off the Honduran coast, and I'm intrigued by languages and cultures.
As a child, I often felt that I didn't have an advocate, and there was always a language barrier between me and my teachers and classmates.
Although my mother tongue is English, I lived on the Honduran coast, where Spanish was the predominant language.
Realizing that I was interested in discovering why I struggled so much to learn a second language, I decided to become a teacher. I went to college to study early childhood education, ultimately majoring in languages.
I now advocate for others, helping them to navigate the difficulties of language and misinterpretation. I work with them to help them reach their potential as Spanish speakers.

My typical lesson looks different for every day, only because I believe in providing an avenue where my students challenge themselves.
We won't only work on reading, speaking, vocabulary and others.
But we'll dive into culture language nuances, everyday vocabulary, cultural differences and how you can assimilate to them. We'll embrace the language by understanding its people.
My lessons are for anyone who has a desire to speak Spanish, anyone who loves the Latin-American culture, wants to travel abroad or just communicate with their international love?
