About Nick
Originally from Hong Kong, I've achieved ATCL diploma for piano and cello. I have played both piano and cello for 15+ years. Branching out from orchestral musician to a pop/rock artist, session musician, composer and songwriter, I have done several studio works with artists and producers, performed live with other musicians and with my own band Oddpulse, thus composing and producing instrumentals and songs.
As a tutor, I am keen to develop students' skills, confidence and passion for music, meanwhile giving insights into different areas of music. My lesson approach is different to each student as to suit their goals, learning pace, and learning style, ensuring a supportive learning environment and engaging experience.
Update: I have just got a DBS certificate, and has proven of NO criminal record

I offer in-home lessons. From absolute beginner to grade 5+, I teach people of all levels. No matter what age you are, I am always keen to teach you. For beginners, every lesson lasts for 30-45 minutes. For intermediate instrumentalists, every lesson lasts for 1 hour. Music is a way to express yourself, relieve stress and connect with others. Music is a hobby you can enjoy for life. The power of music is immeasurable. So, why not come to try out learning piano/cello? In my lessons, students will develop musical notation reading skills, piano and cello techniques, listening skills, improvisation skills and music theory (this will vary depending on students' needs). I will teach my students at their own pace, so that students can enjoy the process, improve their skills, and take something out of each lesson.
