About Shaun
I enjoy teaching because I love helping people to deepen their understanding, to solve problems, and to gain skills. I have a B.Sc. Honours degree in Physics and Electronics, and a B.Sc. degree in Physics with Electronics, and Applied Mathematics. Statistics, pure mathematics, computer science, chemistry, philosophy, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, UX Design, Lean management, product management, and digital marketing are other subjects that I studied along the way. I was employed as a standard 8 science teacher, I have taught computer skills to adults, and I have tutored physics and maths. Most of my adult life has been spent as a software developer and product manager. Web development and photography are some of my other skills.

I design the tutoring sessions based on the level of knowledge a student has in a subject, which I determine with a questionnaire and an interview. The course material that the student has been using will be incorporated. The student's preferred memory technique will also be considered.
A typical lesson will start with the homework answers from the previous lesson/session, then we will go on to discussing the material of the current session, highlighting applications in the real world and links to other knowledge, applying the preferred memory technique, tackling example problems together, and then the student working alone to solve a few problems.
English is the language that I teach and tutor in, this being my home language, although I am also fluent in Dutch and Afrikaans.

He is an amazing tutor, he has patience, he uses examples, he makes sure you understand everything. He first gave me questionnaires to find out how much I knew about computers and Microsoft programs
Shaun helped my homeschooled son's with their Math and Technology lessons. He was extremely patient and thorough. An added bonus was his pleasant character and calm demeanor.
