About Ray
I'm Ray, a University of Sydney student who achieved Band 6 in HSC Physics, with an ATAR of 98.85. Physics was excluded from my ATAR calculation only because my other subjects scored equally highly — not because of the result itself.
I tutor Physics with a focus on building real conceptual understanding alongside strong mathematical technique. Too many students memorize formulas without understanding what they mean — I make sure you know both, so you can handle any question the exam throws at you.

Lessons follow the NSW Physics syllabus across all eight modules for Years 11 and 12:
Module 1 — Kinematics (motion, velocity, acceleration)
Module 2 — Dynamics (forces, Newton's laws, friction, momentum)
Module 3 — Waves and Thermodynamics (wave behavior, sound, thermodynamics)
Module 4 — Electricity and Magnetism (electric fields, circuits, magnetism)
Module 5 — Advanced Mechanics (projectile motion, circular motion, gravitational fields)
Module 6 — Electromagnetism (electromagnetic induction, motors, transformers)
Module 7 — The Nature of Light (wave model, quantum model, special relativity)
Module 8 — From the Universe to the Atom (astrophysics, quantum theory, nuclear physics)
Each session targets your current school topic or upcoming assessment. I work through theory, mathematical derivations, and past HSC questions to build both understanding and exam technique. Written feedback is provided on extended response questions. Lessons run 1–2 hours online or in-person, and students are welcome to bring their own material.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy:
No-Show 100% of the session rate applies if the student is not present within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, with no prior notice given.
Late Cancellation (< 24 hours notice)
• Genuine emergency (illness, family crisis, etc.) — 0% charge, once per term as a goodwill waiver. Subsequent emergencies: 50%.
• Low-effort reason (forgot, overslept, clash with something else) — 100% charge.
• No reason given — treated as no-show: 100%.
Short Notice Reschedule (< 24 hours)
If the student wants to reschedule rather than cancel, a 25% inconvenience fee applies — waived if the new session is booked within 48 hours.
Acceptable Cancellation (≥ 24 hours) No charge. Reschedule encouraged
