Since secondary school I have been tutoring, both undergraduate and senior pupils at HAVO and VWO level. Since then I have helped countless students with the understanding and application of the curriculum, which has subsequently translated into better grades and more self-confidence.

I would describe my method of teaching with the following three words: structure, flexibility and understanding. The first two words seem contradictory, but rather are complimentary for me. Structure is very important in an explanation, but everyone learns at a different level and so this structure must be flexible enough to be subdivided into multiple steps when necessary. Finally, I find it extremely important that the student not only understands the steps he has to take in a specific assignment, but also why he has to do it. This ensures that the pupil can adapt knowledge in multiple, different situations, which is essential when answering insight and application questions.
