About Kristóf
I am twenty-five years old, studying applied linguistics at ELTE university (Faculty of Eastern Languages and Cultures), Budapest.
I've been speaking English with proficiency for almost a decade, and since then I have studied four additional languages in a university environment, so I have thoroughly experienced the language learning process. I've been giving private English lessons for three years.
For me, language is not only a profession, linguistics is my passion, and this is also how I approach language teaching.

I consider communication-focused language education to be the most effective, and instead of specifically preparing for a certain type of exam, I believe that the language should be mastered as a skill - in this way, the student can pass any language exam with minimal preparation.
In Hungary, unlike many other EU member states, the lack of Hungarian language skills makes life extremely difficult, and this is especially the case outside Budapest.
As a teacher, my main principle is that language isn't a material that you should memorise, but a skill that you'll acquire - so the emphasis is on practice, first of all speaking.
I assemble my teaching materials according to the student's age and fields of interest.
