About Isobel
Being fortunate enough to study at one of the most prestigious Conservatoriums in the world has enabled me to become highly trained and knowledgeable in the area of music and singing tuition. I am an extremely enthusiastic teacher with uplifting energy. I build rapport with all of my students, and demonstrate genuine care and passion for their vocal, musical and personal progress. Exploring the voice, particularly for the first time, can be an extremely daunting and vulnerable experience, so through encouragement, praise and support, I provide a safe and enthusiastic environment where students can flourish and express themselves freely, as well as develop their own musicianship. My goal is to inspire students, developing not only their vocal technique, but increasing their self-esteem and positively impacting their wellbeing. Learning is a life-long process, so I pride myself on providing a collaborative environment where I teach with my students, not to them, and where I am equally learning from them as they are from me. The most important aspect of part-taking in singing lessons is for the pure joy of the art and how it makes us feel, so I guarantee that you will leave your lessons feeling satisfied, full and most importantly happy.

Hi! I’m Isobel, a hybrid voice teacher specialising in a range of styles including pop, Musical Theatre and classical. I studied at The University of Melbourne graduating with a Graduate Diploma of Practical Music (classical voice), followed by a Masters in Music Performance Teaching majoring in voice. I have been teaching professionally for 3 years, in both elite private high schools, singing studios and music schools.
Singing lessons with me take place at a studio in Holloway. For an extra fee, I am also able to travel to homes or studios within a 5km radius of Holloway. I require a piano or keyboard.
The length of my lessons are typically 60 minutes.
Lessons are open to ages 8+ and all levels; from beginner to advanced, and for those who wish to explore both classical or contemporary styles. The lesson is broken up into two sections; the first being focused on a solid warm up within your range and level, and technical exercises that are tailored to the elements within your voice. The second section is singing and workshopping a song of choice, which can be done using a backing track, or with piano accompaniment.
I am here to support and assist you in your singing journey, whether that be singing purely for leisure, or working towards exams, and using sheet music or not; it’s completely up to you!
