My Approach to Tutoring: Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I take a personalised approach, tailoring each lesson to the student’s goals, interests, and skill level. My teaching combines technique, music theory, ear training, and repertoire to create well-rounded musicians. In jazz and pop lessons, I emphasise creativity through improvisation and chord progressions. For classical students, I focus on proper technique, sight-reading, and musical expression to build a solid foundation. Typical Length of a Lesson: Lessons are available in 30-minute or 60-minute sessions, depending on the student’s preference, age, and level. This flexibility allows for focused learning while keeping students engaged. Qualifications and Experience: - Studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama - Graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University 15 years of teaching experience in jazz, classical, and pop piano/keyboard - Professional experience as a performer and passionate educator Who the Lessons Are For: I teach students of all ages and skill levels — from beginners to advanced players.
