With teaching, I like to work on something that the student is passionate about. We all make our best work when we care about it, so ensuring that the student is working with a medium and/or subject matter that they enjoy and care about is paramount to both their learning and progression.

Alan is a friend I met on Twitter, he’s such a wonderful artist. I’ve had 2 commission drawings of him to give as gifts to my parents and boyfriends parents - they were both over the moon and they show the drawings off all the time (they’re of their dogs!) He sends regular updates of the drawings and shows each stage he’s at. I honestly couldn’t recommend someone better than Alan, he gets the job done in plenty of time and the handmade frames add such a lovely touch.
You can really see the time, effort and though going into each piece or art he does!
Thank you Alan :)
Known Alan for a few years now and during my time at university I was required to use Adobe software and was completely new to it , however after a week or so with Alan , he not only showed me how to use this software which most teachers do , but he taught me so I could use this software in the future
This man has taught man has taught me more about art and illustration than Bob Ross himself.
I began self taught but whenever I needed help or advice I'd send Alan a work in progress and he'd immediately spot where I was struggling and suggest improvements and ways to fix issues with light source, form, shading and clarity of my drawing.
If you're wanting to seriously up your illustration game look no further, the man is patient and descriptive, he really knows his craft, that's a rare thing, he also knows how to effectively pass on that knowledge which is even rarer
