Illustrator offering guidance on drawing, painting and digital artwork, and developing your own individual practice.
Methodology
In my classes, the student comes first, as we work together towards achieving the student's goals. We will talk about what inspires the student, which artists they look up to and what genres they enjoy. We will also discuss anything the student wants to improve upon - maybe they want to practice drawing hands or faces, or perhaps they would like to learn how to digitise their artwork. I can help the student develop the skills they need to take on a new project and feel more confident about their work.
Experience
I am a Freelance Illustrator with a degree in Illustration from Leeds Arts University. I'm especially interested in observational drawing, character design and telling a story through an image. I use a range of traditional and digital media, including watercolour, gouache paints, ink, dry media such as charcoal and pastels, as well as drawing on Photoshop and Procreate. Recently I've been working on commissioned portraits and illustrations for clients, but I also have experience running life drawing sessions for groups of 10-20 students. I have also run arts and crafts workshops for children aged 5-10.
