About Melissa
Hi I'm Melissa and I have completed a level 5 TEFL course. As part of my TEFL qualification, I gained practical teaching experience, working in a language centre in Ho Chi Minh City, where I helped adult students build their confidence, fluency and communication skills.
I have taught one to one conversational classes, and I have led classes on a range of current and engaging topics such as Influencers, Traditions, and Illnesses.

My teaching style is relaxed and interactive. I like to maximise student talking time to improve vocabulary and pronunciation. Topics such as hobbies, home life and food are good starting points. I use images to support topics, repeating simple phrases slowly and I then correct grammar and pronunciation if needed.
My lessons are designed for adults with beginner level English. Lessons are 30 minutes long and take place in cafes in the centre of Bath, creating a friendly and informal setting where you can build confidence.
