Friendly, easy going, very determined and motivating tutor, I graduated from MMU with First Class Honors in Education Studies. My main focus is on the cognitive process of learning and getting the best out of each individual by working according to their strengths and weaknesses.
Since language influences thought, improving your language and vocabulary increases your ability to understand things in different ways. It will help you think more clearly, be able to express yourself in many different ways and also make you stand out from others!
During my University placements and after graduating, I helped numerous students overcome various obstacles they had struggled with for years (behavior, learning difficulties i.e. mild dyslexia, confidence etc), and served as a student mentor, providing pastoral support as well as academic.
Setting realistic, achievable targets and building a rapport with students has been key to helping my students improve and succeed, and seeing this progress is hugely satisfying.
Rates may vary depending on the level students wish to be taught at (GCSE, A-level, Undergraduate etc). For any students needing to travel I may also lower the price to compensate for that expenditure.
Please feel free to contact me and discuss further if you have any questions.

Educational work experience:
Second and third year of University studying Education: Two units (Work with children and young people (year 2), Curriculum project (year 3), required me to do a placement focused on mentoring students which provided me with practical, hands-on experience in the educational environment. I was given the freedom to carry out my work in the way I thought best and the feedback from my corresponding coursework and reports are evidence that I had succeeded in providing effective teaching methods and mentoring.
My responsibilities included motivating students, offering support and guidance. Assessing current skill levels and setting realistic targets and frequently monitoring progress of students’ knowledge, understanding and achievements throughout the academic year. Also making plan of action on specific areas of improvement such as improving grammar, proof-reading, planning and working on assignments effectively etc. Sessions were tailored around pupils' strengths, weaknesses, needs and requirements, including them as part of the process and making them feel more involved and enthusiastic.
Since graduating in the summer of 2016, I have since been tutoring students through various websites and agencies, as I find it hugely rewarding to see the progress of others. Having a genuine interest and passion for Language makes teaching it so much more enjoyable.
