About Barney
With years of experience behind the decks and a passion for house music, I offer practical, hands-on DJ lessons designed to help you build confidence, develop your technique and find your own sound.
I’ve played at some of London’s leading clubs, including EGG LDN and Ministry of Sound, and have released music on respected labels including Robsoul and Purveyor Underground.
Whether you’re a complete beginner looking to learn the fundamentals or an experienced DJ wanting to improve your mixing, transitions, scratching and overall technique, lessons are tailored to your individual goals and ability.
My aim is to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to DJ properly — from your first mix through to playing in front of a crowd.

Learn to DJ with hands-on, practical lessons designed to help you become a confident and creative DJ.
Whether you’re a complete beginner picking up the decks for the first time or an experienced DJ looking to improve your technique, each lesson is tailored to your ability, goals and style of music.
You’ll learn the essential skills needed to DJ confidently, including beatmatching, phrasing, EQ mixing, track selection, transitions, using effects, loops, hot cues and creative mixing techniques. We’ll also look at how to structure a set, read the dancefloor and develop your own individual DJ style.
As well as the technical side of DJing, I’ll share real-world experience from my own career, including playing at EGG LDN and Ministry of Sound, and releasing music on respected house labels including Robsoul and Purveyor Underground.
The aim is simple: to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to enjoy DJing and take your mixing to the next level.
