About Valme
As a born New Yorker I started my Hip Hop dance journey in 2003 and studied under legendary figures such as Rokafella and Kwikstep of Full Circle Productions since 2009. From 2012 through Full Circle, I've met Raphael Xavier who I've toured with since moving to Philadelphia nationally and internationally performing on stages. With 20+ years' experience as an active competitor and performer I've had the opportunity to teach master workshops, seminars, and residencies for all ages. My teaching style developed more in 2017 with the work I've done with a Hip-Hop school called Movemakers Philly and an arts education company called Hip Hop Fundamentals that makes what I do more accessible for those that may feel intimidated. I continue to train and compete in order to bring the best version of myself and my students in this journey we call dance.

In my lessons, we set goals to track progress. Each class starts with a warm-up, then we focus on technical skills, freestyle dancing, conditioning, choreography, and end with a cool-down. The lessons help build confidence, balance, strength, and coordination. They're great for all levels, even if you're just starting or feel like you have two left feet!
