About Rebecca
I am a committed violin tutor with 12 years of experience, having taught around 300 students from different backgrounds and skill levels, including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, consistency, and clear guidance, as I believe these are essential for learning music effectively.
I focus on building strong fundamentals such as posture, finger placement, bowing technique, and tone production, and I make sure to explain each concept in a simple and understandable way. I also guide students in developing regular practice habits that support long-term improvement.
One of my proud achievements is helping students overcome difficulties and gain confidence in their playing. I aim to make learning violin a rewarding and enjoyable experience for every student.

My violin teaching methodology combines clear communication, flexibility, and practical learning experiences. I assess each student’s strengths, learning style, and goals, then tailor lessons to ensure both technical and expressive skills are developed.
I focus on posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone production, phrasing, and musical expression, while fostering creativity and personal interpretation. Real-life examples such as performing favorite songs, practicing for recitals, and understanding music’s emotional impact make lessons meaningful and engaging.
I also include music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic keyboard skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My aim is to create a structured, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where students build confidence, improve steadily, and develop a lifelong passion for music.
