About Hilli
I am a dedicated violin tutor with 17 years of teaching experience, having taught around 300 students from beginner to intermediate levels, including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching philosophy is based on clear communication, patience, and consistency, as I believe these are essential for successful learning.
I focus on building strong basics such as posture, finger placement, bow control, and sound clarity. I make sure to explain each concept in a simple and understandable way so students can apply it confidently. I also include exercises and songs that keep lessons interesting and engaging.
One of my key achievements is helping students gain confidence and perform without hesitation. My goal is to create a comfortable and motivating learning environment.

I approach violin teaching with a focus on communication, adaptation, and connecting lessons to real-life musical experiences. I recognize that each student learns differently, so I customize lessons to match their abilities, interests, and learning style.
I teach essential techniques such as posture, bowing, finger placement, intonation, and tone quality, while integrating expressive interpretation and musical creativity. I include real-life examples such as performing songs, playing with accompaniment, and understanding the use of music in daily life to make lessons practical and meaningful.
I also teach supporting subjects like music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic keyboard skills to provide a holistic musical education. My goal is to create an encouraging and enjoyable learning environment where students feel confident, inspired, and motivated to grow as musicians.
