About Fynn
As an enthusiastic trumpet educator, I strive to create lessons that are educational, engaging, and enjoyable for students of every age and ability. I understand that learning an instrument requires dedication, consistency, and the right guidance, which is why I provide personalised instruction that matches each student's pace and objectives.
My lessons focus on developing excellent technique through breathing control, posture, embouchure development, articulation, rhythm, note reading, tone production, scales, and finger coordination before introducing advanced performance skills such as flexibility, endurance, phrasing, range development, dynamics, ear training, orchestral excerpts, jazz improvisation, and solo performance.
I also encourage students to develop confidence through regular performance opportunities, effective practice routines, and constructive feedback that promotes continuous improvement and lasting musical enjoyment.

Every trumpet student has unique goals, which is why I create customised lesson plans that encourage steady progress and lasting confidence. Students receive step by step instruction in breathing, embouchure, articulation, tone production, rhythm, scales, music reading, and finger coordination before advancing to flexibility training, endurance, lip slurs, range expansion, phrasing, dynamics, and sight reading.
Advanced learners receive specialised coaching in orchestral music, jazz improvisation, solo repertoire, advanced articulation, ensemble performance, audition techniques, and performance psychology. I believe in creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated to ask questions, develop discipline, and enjoy every lesson while achieving measurable results.
