About Jess
I was born in Johannesburg and started freestyle dancing at the age of six. My passion for performing continued to grow, leading me to study Musical Theatre at Stageworx Performing Arts School in 2016. During my studies, I obtained my LTCL (Licentiate) Diploma through Trinity Guildhall London and graduated in 2018.
I was cast in my first professional production in 2019, where I played the role of Sherrie in Rock of Ages at Montecasino’s Teatro. I then went on to perform as Holly in Santa Claus Is Coming to Town at Pieter Toerien’s Theatre, Montecasino.
From June 2022 to 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to tour internationally, performing as Agnetha in Dancing Queen – A Tribute to ABBA. I also joined Simply The Best – A Tribute to Tina Turner as a backup dancer, touring internationally during the same period. Additionally, I performed as a dancer in Tribute to the Eras Tour and had the privilege of working as a backup singer for The Michael Jackson History Show.
Since 2025, I have been a full-time teacher at Stageworx School of Performing Arts, where I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of performers. I love being part of my students’ journeys, helping them develop not only their voices and performance skills but also their confidence and love for the performing arts.

I offer online singing lessons for all levels, from complete beginners to professionals wanting to brush up on their skills. With a strong musical theatre background, my lessons focus on performance while building healthy vocal technique. I teach a range of styles including musical theatre, pop, jazz and more, helping singers grow in confidence, expression and vocal ability.
