About Harry
I am a dedicated university student at Swansea University, studying International Relations and Spanish with previous studies in Business Studies and Economics. My academic pathway reflects a real passion for learning and understanding the world, languages and global systems.
Alongside my studies, I have gained practical experience in supporting younger students through tutoring and mentoring, I previously participated in an in-school tutoring programme during my A-levels, and I am currently a mentor for the Welsh Government-funded Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Mentoring Programme. My role in this programme is to deliver structured sessions and workshops to GCSE students to help them build confidence and make informed academic choices
I take pride in ensuring each of my sessions is well planned for each tutee, communicated clearly and in an environment where tutees feel encouraged to ask questions and challenge themselves. My aim is to go beyond only attaining high grades, I hope my tutees leave each session with lasting knowledge and confidence.

My approach to tutoring is centred around clarity, confidence and consistency. I believe that students make the most progress when they understand why something works, not just how to memorise it. Sessions will be tailored to each tutee's needs, and topics will be broken down into clear and engaging steps.
My sessions typically last 60 minutes to allow time for reviewing previous content, tackling new topics and helping prepare students for their exams. I enjoy teaching effective exam techniques and sharing valuable information within the sessions that students can apply to their exam questions to secure top marks.
As a University student studying International relations and having previously studied Business and Economics, I constantly use these subjects daily at an advanced level. I also work with GCSE students to help them build confidence and academic interest in foreign languages through mentoring sessions and workshops.
My lessons would be ideal for GCSE and A-level students looking to strengthen their subject knowledge, improve their exam performance and feel more comfortable and confident when they return to the classroom. Whether you are looking to boost your grades or cover a tricky topic, I tailor each session to those specific goals.
