About Billy
I have recently graduated with a Distinction MA in International Relations at the University of Manchester. During this year, I also received three awards upon graduation. I received an award for the best dissertation within the politics department (90% achieved) and one for the best overall grade for my course (80.5% achieved). As well as these, I also received the highest GPA out of 168 MA students in the politics department. I am confident in helping students who are interested in modules ranging from critical theory, foreign policy, human rights, critical military studies, security and international security. I am always eager to learn new subjects and adapt this to the student's needs. I believe that through a lens of curiosity, I can help student's to achieve their personal goals and ambitions.

Above all, I believe that teaching must be suited to a students specific needs. I do not believe that a broad of particular approach is suited to all students. I would therefore actively seek to teach students through their own personal approach. I would be flexible through online lessons by adopting an approach similar to a seminar environment. Within this space I would then tailor teaching to the students preferences via online presentation, discussions, reading papers or planning assignments and essay structures. I personally found that by adopting a curious mindset to my research, I was able to bring a passion and excitement to my studies. This is something that I would encourage and like to bring to my lessons to help students realise their own potential and confidence within their studies.
