About Rhiannon
My name is Rhiannon, I'm 23 and study International Relations at the University of St Andrews. I have been tutoring privately for 2 years, successfully taking students from average to top grades in a matter of months through my tried and tested essay writing masterclasses. I really enjoy seeing my learners progress and achieve their goals, whether that's achieving a certain grade, securing an apprenticeship or their dream university place! I hold a grade A at A-Level, achieving the highest mark and grade of my cohort by 10 marks, and studied modern history alongside International Relations during my first two years at St Andrews. Furthermore, I am due to graduate with a first class degree this June. I am particularly skilled in improving learners essay writing skills, having previously taken A-Level students from D grades to A grades in a matter of months with my essay writing masterclasses. I take a 'person centred' approach to tutoring, meaning that each individuals learning style is taken into consideration and lessons are planned flexibly around learner needs. I typically take time during lessons to explain concepts to the learner, have them independently complete a task which we can then go through and mark together. Homework can also be set where appropriate. I prefer 60 minute lessons, however 120 minute sessions are available upon request. These sessions are appropriate for GCSE and A-Level learners.
