About Julia
I completed my Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Victoria and my Masters in Opera from the University of Toronto. I have performed internationally, including but not limited to places such as Italy, England, Austria, and the US. I have done multiple recordings and released a German Lieder album with MSR Classics.
I took a step back from performing opera for a while but have always continued to teach while pursuing other passions. I have never stopped concert work (recitals and oratorio’s) along side of my teaching and work. Inspiring others to find their voice has always been my driving force behind teaching.

Everyone is unique, everyone’s voice is different, and everyone learns differently. It is important to me, as you begin to discover your voice, that you can utilize what you have learned while also having fun!
I have taught as young as 5 and as young as 70! All ages are welcome in my studio, learning is a lifelong journey.
I am trained classically but teach voice for classical, pop, and musical theatre. My focus is to teach good technique, ensuring healthy singing, no matter the genre of song(s).
