I share my newest methods with a great enthusiasm while helping young violists to achieve their aspirations in music performance. From complete beginner to International competitions winner. I have 10 years experience of teaching mostly in London, Spain and Lithuania.
Furthermore, I always aim to introduce the most effective techniques of viola and violin playing by choosing diverse repertoire, the discipline of practising, consequently it maximises my students' ability to express their musicality. As a teacher, I particularly concentrate on the use of the sound of the instrument in its full range of colours and left-hand technical brilliance.
I am professional Violin and Viola performer and teacher. I currently work full time at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London.

Ugne is a fantastic teacher who I’d highly recommend, who’s own style of viola/violin playing is beautiful, it’s great to be taught by someone so talented. I learned violin up to grade 8 when I was younger and now having not played for over 10 years, Ugne has helped take me from rusty and out of practise through to playing confidently again, and with even better technique than I had before. Ugne takes an intricate approach to teaching violin, with a good mix of exercises, studies, scales and pieces and a keen focus on technique. It’s been great improving and getting back to playing again with Ugne’s help and guidance. I’d highly recommend Ugne for anyone starting out or looking to refresh their skills.
Ugne is a talented teacher for my 7 year old son. After the first lesson, my son said he liked her method and it was fun. Every lesson he felt very productive and confident to practise for the rest of the week.
She adjusted my son’s posture and focused on the basic techniques which helped my son lay out the solid foundation for violin playing.
She sent us lesson notes right after the lesson finished. The notes include what has been taught, any improvement, the things to practise at home, and what to expect from the next lesson.
We are lucky to have Ugne as the violin teacher, and we would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn violin.
