Hello there! So I love to speak to my students about topics that are in the news at the moment so that they can have a little more confidence in their daily lives in their offices or networking events when these conversations come up. I spend time to get to know the student, what their interests are and speak to them about their lives and then build lessons around their interests. One of my recent lessons was about the election of the new mayor of New York city and his task of solving the housing crisis and cost of living. It was a dynamic class beginning with famous new york landmarks and finished with part of his victory speech with a gap fill to improve listening skills and build fluency.
