Mathematics is a subject where cramming and mere understanding of concepts won't win the game for you. I find mathematics is mathematics is more like driving a car. You must have a theoretical knowledge about driving but it won't help alone. You need to go out and practice it in real for hundred times before driving on your own. Similarly, maths is more about practical experience. Even though you know formulae and theorems, but it won't alone help you to drive the problems on your own.
