About Ikhona
I am a passionate and dedicated first-year law student at the University of the Western Cape with a strong love for isiZulu and education as a whole. I only began studying isiZulu in Grade 10, but through determination and consistent hard work, I went on to achieve a High Distinction in my matric finals and placed 2nd in the Grade 11 isiZulu Olympiad. My journey taught me that with the right support and effort, anyone can excel. I want to give other learners the same confidence and encouragement. Being a young tutor allows me to easily relate to learners and understand the challenges they face, creating a comfortable environment where they can learn, ask questions and grow. This is what inspired my interest in teaching isiZulu: I want learners to realise their potential and know that their starting point does not determine how far they can go

I teach in both isiZulu and English, making concepts easy to understand while building confidence in speaking, writing, grammar, comprehension and literature. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving at their own pace. Whether you are a beginner or preparing for matric examinations, I will help you develop stronger language skills and achieve your academic goals.
