About Virginia
I am a native Italian speaker with a classical education in ancient languages. I have a 5 years experience as a private tutor giving lessons to pupils from 5th to 11th grade in a wide range of subjects.

My teaching methodology is founded on the concept that theory is as important as practice, hence a clearly explained set of rules will help to rationalise the use of the language. However, theory without practice is doomed to be forgotten, this is why an adequate practice of speaking, writing and reading is needed. Overall the method I find more productive is explaining grammar as it is encountered during practice to create a fixed link between the rule and the example.
