As I have personally experiences, through my year abroad in the USA, the best way to learn a language is through extensive communication to establish a strong vocabulary. Instead of memorising rules and grammar I base my classes on understanding and visualising patterns. This makes it easier to apply common ground rules of the Italian language to everyday basic conversations as well as advanced communication tools.
I am a Physics graduate, recently completed my master in Neuroscience at King's College London. I have helped other students during my academic studies in both science and languages fields. Looking to strengthen my teaching skills by exploring my already strong communication skills.
Ideally I would like to set up a timetable, based on the student's goals and potential, in order to better optimise the time and efficacy for both parties. No cancellation fees will be applied, of course based on common sense and respect on the effort I put on preparing for the session.

Leadership, and responsibility
Successfully elected captain of the Italian local volleyball team for more than 5 years.
Captain of the University of Leicester volleyball team, which gave the opportunity to grow strong leadership skills, and to take risks for the good of the team. Another example of this can be my experience as an exam invigilator, where in only one month I progressed quickly, so that I was trusted with increasingly greater responsibilities.
Through involvement in various sportive, academic and musical events, it has been possible to learn how to truly work in a team, and listen to others’ opinions.
For instance the Ducati Summer School, or the Lab. Of Bio-Molecular sciences. in which I worked in symbiosis with other people with different strengths and backgrounds in order to achieve the common and final goal of the project.
Organisation and time management
Taking a large variety of examinations and certificates since a very young age allowed me to gain such an important skill. Examinations such as: the Cambridge ESOL examinations, SAT, TOEFL, and French Post-beginners Level. These experiences taught me how important is to be well organize, efficient, and manage the time properly.
Native Italian speaker; been studying English since elementary school and the EF exchange year program in the United States has truly made me fluent in the English Language.
I have also been studying French and I have achieved a basic, scholastic knowledge of this language.
I have not particular issues in understanding Spanish.
➢ Position of responsibility
One of the life experiences that has contributed in building strong transferable and personal skills in me is the year abroad that I have spent in the United Stated when I was only 16.
Living far away from my loved ones, hosted by a selected family, in a new environment where my language was not spoken, definitely pushed me out of my comfort-zone but successfully had a positive impact on my persona. Also being the captain of the volleyball team for several years in my Italian hometown and then at the University of Leicester has contributed considerably.
