About Izzy
I am an experienced part time piano and flute teacher. I have been playing flute and piano for about 12 years and have completed many exams as well as completing my grade 5 music theory exam (ABRSM)
I have been teaching privately for over 2 years to help grow my teaching experience.
I am very passionate about teaching pupils my knowledge and skills and seeing them progress.
I have been teaching for over 2 years now and I throughly enjoy my job. As I am currently only a part time tutor at the moment and I do only take on pupils who are beginners and/or wanting casual/fun lessons. I will be going full time as soon as I can which will mean I will be able to take on intermediate-advanced pupils.

I am very flexible and I am happy to cater to pupils needs. I do encourange pupils to learn pieces of music that they enjoy and choose books of their choice. In the first few lessons, I will help the pupil decide on what kind of pieces they would like to learn and by the next lesson I will have a full lesson plan in place, including the kind of material they want to learn. This allows me to see and develop the students knowledge and progression.
At the end of every lesson I use music theory books to go over sight reading, scales, key signatures and more theory exercises. This helps the pupil understand more about the music and pieces they are learning. I then allow time to go over anything the pupil found tricky or would like to cover in the next lesson.
