About Joe
I'm an Ex-athlete. I competed at a national level as an adult, and as a junior I was competing at an international level.
Unfortunately my career was cut short due to an acute elbow injury which required surgery.
Since the end of my own throwing career, I have obtained my level 3 UKA athletics coaching qualification and have coached at a county standard. I had the pleasure of running the Sussex squad javelin coaching days and worked with some very bright, talented athletes.
I am now in the process of getting qualified in the world of sports psychology and aim to help those going through/unfortunately will go through the troubled career ending that I faced.
I think with the right help, I could have got back to throwing. That thought hurts.
My aim Is to help those with a negative attitude towards injury and nerves get an insight of their potential without those worries.

I will work with an athlete/athletes to find the best way in which they learn. This way, I can guarantee that the individual will gain the most out of my coaching.
I can coach the whole throw as a movement and also the individual motions that go into a javelin throw.
