I am a jazz saxophonist, composer, educator and researcher based in London. I hold degrees from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk (Jazz and Popular Music), the Pomeranian University in Słupsk (Music and Art Education), the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music — London (Jazz Teaching), and the Polish University Abroad — PUNO.

Over the past 15+ years in London I have performed in nearly 1,000 concerts and delivered over 5,000 hours of lessons, workshops and lectures. I am a researcher and lecturer at PUNO’s Department of Culture and Music Education, where modern jazz education is the focus of my academic work.

I am the author of “The Art of Your Next Step — The Missing Handbook for New Jazz Musicians”

I studied under Maciej Sikała, one of Poland’s foremost jazz saxophonists and Leszek Kułakowski, top 3rd stream composer and pianist.

Too many musicians spend years practising scales without being able to improvise over a single chord, or on the contrary, avoiding scales at all costs. My PENTAWAY method changes that — at every stage of learning, you are ready to improvise over real chord changes even if you don't read music. Whether you play saxophone, guitar, piano or any other instrument, you can start sounding like a jazz musician who knows what is going on in the harmony.
What Is PENTAWAY?
PENTAWAY is a system I developed for defining, building and internalising jazz scales and chords — without relying on traditional notation or rote memorisation of key signatures.
The key principle: at every stage, you improvise. You do not wait until you have "learned enough theory." With this method you can see the scale before you play it, before you hear it, even before you know its name.
This is why I use real bricks in my lessons — music becomes for a moment very physical, tangible and observable. It is designed so that every next step is simple and fun, wherever you are in the process. It unlocks real musical vocabulary you can use immediately over actual chord progressions. This makes it effective for complete beginners and revelatory for experienced players who feel stuck.
My promise is: you will improvise over chords on the first session.
PENTAWAY works across instruments — I have applied it with saxophonists, trumpeters, violinists, guitarists, pianists and vocalists individually and on workshops.
What We Work On
Lessons are tailored to your instrument, level and goals. Typical areas include:

We identify what you already have and can build on.
I show you the PENTAWAY position — your new compass and ladder.
You apply it immediately over real chords, even with no experience at all.
You leave with new vocabulary that is yours to keep.
You get a clear, focused practice plan for a chosen period.

If you have ever felt that jazz improvisation is a secret language you were never given the key to — PENTAWAY is that key. Book an introductory session and we will find out exactly where you are and where you want to go.
