About Callum
I'm a 22-year-old music producer and session guitarist from Birmingham. I've been playing guitar since I was 11 and have loved every minute of it. I studied traditional grades up to grade 6; however, I found my time in a jazz band and as a session musician was much more rewarding and gave me great listening and improvisation skills. Playing guitar should be fun, and practising should feel rewarding, not like a hassle. I'd love to show you just how much you can get out of playing the guitar!

Fun, interactive, 45-minute lessons with a focus on learning through playing and listening rather than through theory and sight reading. Lessons are aimed at beginner to beginner/intermediate players aged 11+. Lessons will be structured with the end goal of being able to improvise over any chord progression or song, as well as making your own chord progressions. Only essential theory concepts such as intervals and the 7 modes will be covered along the way, and homework will be given in TAB format ready to discuss in the next lesson. You can decide what songs you want to learn! All of my students have said this is the most rewarding way. With my additional experience in digital music production I can also show you how to start recording your guitar and crafting your own songs!
