About Ella
Hello! My name is Ella and I am a professional singer/songwriter based in South East London. I gained my BMus (Hons) Music degree from Newcastle University with a specialism in performance. Within my degree, I had further opportunity to study jazz vocals at Concordia University and gig professionally across Montreal, Canada. Most recently, I am an alumni of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music here in London graduating with a MMus Masters degree. I am well versed as a performer, with experience in ensemble, solo and choral settings. I work predominantly specialising in Jazz, with a background of other contemporary genres; Soul, R’n’B, Gospel, Pop and Musical Theatre also. I look forward to fun, friendly lessons, and creating a supportive environment in which we can make music together!

First and foremost I believe singing is a gift everybody can enjoy, at any level. I like to create a fun relaxed environment, encouraging students to celebrate their individual sound and build vocal confidence. All ages and abilities levels are welcome. What brings you to singing lessons? Setting some goals, whether they be large or small, is a great place to start. Based on your interests I can tailor lessons to suit your needs and provide you with the tools and vocal techniques to achieve your goals. I can support you in technique issues such as breath control and accessing your full range, expanding your repertoire, finding your artistic sound or simply singing your favourite songs with confidence! I also write and perform many of my own compositions. If composing or lyric writing is something that interests you and you would like to incorporate into lessons, I would be more than happy to accommodate.

Perfect! Im so glad I decided to go with Ella. I was buzzing after my first lesson. We worked on breathing and making different sounds. It was great.

Perfect! For my first lesson Ella supported me with breathwork, vocal warmups, and told me what I need to work on. She is so supportive and I was able to see a difference in my singing instantly!! I would definitely recommend her.
Perfect! Had a lovely first lesson with Ella. We did some exercises and tried out a couple of songs. I could feel and hear the improvement that the exercises made. Ella was friendly and encouraging, and able to adapt the lesson to what I needed (I'm just learning to sing for pleasure). I'm looking forward to more lessons!
