About Stephen
I am a professional animator with extensive experience at major studios like Marvel and Disney+, contributing to projects such as Eyes of Wakanda and Love, Death & Robots. Since 2020, I have also served as an animation tutor on Superprof. My background combines technical proficiency in Maya with a passion for storytelling and figurative art, having won multiple awards for creative vision and 3D animation. I focus on a rhythm-first methodology. We begin with high-energy gesture drawings (30-second to 2-minute poses) to capture the "action" of the body before moving into structural rendering.
With a career as a professional animator, I have spent years studying how the body moves in space. I bring real-world industry standards to our sessions, teaching you the same observational skills used in top animation studios to create believable, expressive characters.
