I am a Creative Executive. I'm qualified as a journalist with years of experience in the broadcasting industry and advertising world. My journey with teaching English and being a tutor honestly started as a hobby. I love giving back and seeing someone excel. I can build your confidence when it comes to your English grammar basic skills - including parts of speech, verb tenses, and phonology - as well as contributing to your comfort levels when having a conversational and calm approach during an interview or an audition.

My teaching method varies according to each student's ability and outtake. However, generally, it starts with building a relationship and rapport with my students. Getting to know what your likes, interests, strengths, and weakness are. This is essential when it comes to building a long-lasting relationship with my students. I'm always overly prepared with my learning guide and what YOU would like to take away from our lesson is a crucial methodology. I don't believe in over-bombarding my students with lots of material work rather I have the approach of having a structured plan - which I would email to students two days prior. e.g. "On Tuesday, 1st of Jun we will be focusing on your verb tense..." in this way, the student knows exactly what the lesson will entail. Feedback is imperative and constructive suggestions to improve on will be included. Fun is also my middle name and I love having a warm, inviting, and learned class environment (which is online of course, and face-2-face - however with COVID-19 and the Level 1 guidelines and restrictions I think online teaching is safer for everyone)

Details
My rates pertain to each lesson booked. Meaning if a student books a lesson with me and does not pitch after 15 mins then the lesson will be canceled. I will have to charge the student a 20% cancellation fee. Travel costs are calculated per travel distance and KM. My charge for a 12KM distance is R100. If more, then I will have to include a 10% addition cost.
