About Douglas
Have you ever wondered how to translate the music inside your head into a tangible reality on the fretboard? Having spent 7 years refining my craft since my time at the Juilliard School, I draw upon a deep understanding of songwriting, electric technique, and blues progressions to guide your progress.
My personal narrative is defined by the guitar, ensuring that our work together balances rigorous acoustic technique with the raw excitement of rhythm guitar. It is deeply rewarding to see a student finally find their voice through the strings.

You arrive and we immediately begin transforming a favorite song request into a simplified arrangement that matches your current skill level perfectly. My 58 students often find that reading sheet music becomes intuitive once we apply these concepts to the songs they love most. Throughout these 8 years of performing and teaching, I have found that building a foundation through real music keeps the process engaging for everyone involved. I use my Juilliard training to ensure your technique is solid while keeping the atmosphere light and creative.
We track your progress over time to ensure you see the results of your hard work in every single practice session. It feels natural to learn this way.
