About Celia
Celia Wojcik is a New York City–based oboist currently studying at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Elaine Douvas. She performs frequently with the Juilliard Orchestra in Alice Tully Hall and appears in a wide range of chamber and orchestral settings across the city. A recent highlight of her season was serving as Principal Oboe in Debussy’s La Mer at the Chautauqua Music Festival. Celia has attended leading summer programs including Domaine Forget Academy, the National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute, Kinhaven Young Artists Seminar, and the Chautauqua Institution. Her commitment to advancing her solo artistry also brought her to Paris, where she participated in an intensive week-long masterclass series led by Hélène Devilleneuve. This February, she will tour with the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico beside Jaren Atherholt. Her earlier training includes private study with Philippe Tondre, principal oboist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and David Nuttall, former principal oboist of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. A recipient of the Elaine Gloria Rose Scholarship, Celia is dedicated to deepening her craft and embracing new artistic opportunities throughout her time at Juilliard.

Welcome!! My teaching focuses on cultivating effective practice strategies to move efficiently towards mastery. I also make sure to provide my students with a solid fundamental background before as well as nurturing a love for music. I will inspire you, guide you in whatever your goals may be, and look forward to taking you to the next level!
In the past I have taught elementary and middle school-aged students as well as volunteered in schools.
