About Matt
I am a Junior Software Developer based in North Yorkshire, having recently graduated from the University of York with a 2:1 Engineering degree in Computer Science. I have been a tutor since March 2018, working both independently and with one of the UK's top tuition companies. I have tutored Maths and Computing to a wide variety of different ages, ranging from 12-18.

Computer Science and Maths are very problem solving based topics; they both require you to think "what do I need to do?" and "how am I going to get my solution/answer/value?". This is my method of teaching - encouraging students to think what needs to be done, and filtering this down into a solution. This applies both to the practical and theoretical side of Computer Science, as well as both core and applied Mathematics. In lessons my aim is to ensure the skill(s) we look at can be used to answer questions/problems by the end of the session.
