About Gabriela
I'm a Junior at Vanderbilt University majoring in Human & Organizational Development and Psychology with a minor in Business. I'm from Scarsdale, NY, but I have fallen in love with Nashville and plan to stay after college.
I have always been an incredibly hardworking student, essentially learning how to tutor myself best and teach myself concepts that I found difficult in school.
I have tutored for 8 years in Math, Spanish, Science, and English. I've worked with students ages 8-17.
I had a 3.95 unweighted GPA in High School, a 3.96 GPA in college so far, and a 35 on my ACT. I have been a straight A student my entire life and am committed to making sure students I tutor understand subjects so they can get good grades and feel capable of doing well!

I start with bite sized lessons to review a concept that a student is struggling with. Then, I provide ample practice and feedback along the way to see if the student is able to improve or needs to revisit the subject. Finally, I give challenging homework questions to ensure the student has mastered the subject.
I'm unique as a tutor because I genuinely enjoy teaching. I love working with kids and helping them better understand tough subjects.
