About Vanessa
I started learning piano and violin at the age of 3, and picked up the harp when I was 14. Through all the times, my parents never forced me to become a musician, but finally choosing to pursue music when I entered university has brought so much growth. Not only as a musician, but also as a person.
I graduated from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore with a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Harp Performance at Manhattan School of Music.
Looking back, my musical journey has never failed to humble me, challenge me, and encourage me to keep growing. It has shaped my character in so many ways and taught me perseverance, passion, patience, confidence, self-awareness, and so much more.
So, if you’ve ever thought about learning the harp, I really, really encourage you to DO IT! You never know where the journey might take you, and I hope you’ll get to experience all the wonderful things music has taught me along the way.
