Methodology

Duration : 1 hour 30 minutes - Price : £15.00 - Place : CambridgeI am a UK based certified Kathak dancer and teach regular Kathak classes and workshops (now online) for all age groups (3+ years) and levels.

This specific masterclass is for anyone of 10+ years of age (beginners to Kathak are also welcome). This class is also suited for non-Indians equally. I would be teaching my own Kathak choreography on a beautiful classical song from Bandish Bandits. My techniques are Lucknow Gharana based, therefore they are very graceful alongside being energetic and give you a wonderful way to explore the regime of Kathak. My techniques would help you build strength, flexibility and balance while providing a complete whole-body workout and at the same time give you the joy of music and rhythms.

I strongly encourage creativity, therefore, your feedback would be much appreciated. I would keep improvising the choreography according to how the students are learning and responding. Also, you would dance part of the song multiple times and thoroughly before dancing on the whole song. Therefore, I firmly believe from my experience that this class would be a wonderful opportunity for you to learn something most beautiful and enjoyable.

At the end I would provide you the video recording of the class such that you could practice later. I would also encourage to send me dance video and I would send my comments.
