Keele University Neuroscientist providing tutoring in: Biology, Business, Professional Development (not necessarily together!)

Methodology

The best way to teach any topic is to find relatable examples which symbolise larger processes or units, and create a story that combines the concepts of what you are trying to learn with the realisms of everyday life. In my case, this often means teaching Biology in a more abstract way, such as explaining poisons from their points of origins (e.g. fish, frogs etc.) and explaining this gradually on more meaningful levels to create a more accessible format for bigger picture thinking. The same process works for teaching someone to understand science, often including latin language, and for me teaching someone how to present to members of the public, network at a formal event, or so on.

Background

Experienced in Business (Retail, Networking Coach), Academic Research (U.K., Malaysia; Neuroscience, Psychology), Publication and Review (Oxford University Press, British Neuroscience Association).

Undergraduate Degree: BSc. Neuroscience and Psychology (Hons) - Keele University (2015-2018)
Postgraduate Degree: MSc. Neuroimaging - King's College London (2018-2019)
